We announced a few weeks ago that we have taken over the wedding planning side and assisting brides at the venue in Seattle called Court in the Square. Recently we held an open house and it was a huge success! There is now a website up and running and we are very responsive on the emails! Check it out! www.courtinsquare.com

Inspiration Board: Green Thumb
We have a styled shoot coming up in February and are trying to get all our ideas and inspiration narrowed down! Here is one of our boards that we are calling "green thumb". We've had quite a few brides at the wedding shows say how much they love greens and only want greens for their flowers. It's not traditional, but we LOVE it!!!

Seattle Wedding Show 2016
We had such a great weekend! The Seattle Wedding Show was so much fun, and we have been emailing brides non-stop the last couple days, it's awesome!
Out booth was so beautiful this year. Caity's husband built custom metal shelves that fit the space perfectly. They truly showcased all of our flowers.

Which is Which? Eucalyptus
There are so many different types of plants/flowers out there. Sometimes multiple in the same category. So when we write up a quote and the bride says "What kind of flower is that? And what's the difference between these?" we hope these blog posts will clear it all up!
Today we are talking about eucalyptus. There are many many kinds out there, but the 5 that we are focusing on today, are the ones we most commonly use.
1. Feather
Today we are talking about eucalyptus. There are many many kinds out there, but the 5 that we are focusing on today, are the ones we most commonly use.
1. Feather
This eucalyptus is, obviously, very feathery. Makes any bouquet looks undone, eclectic, rustic, and natural.
2. Gunnii
Gunnii and Sprial (number 5) are very similar. Difference is that Gunnii has fronds that stick of the main stem, where as Spiral is just one long stem.
3. Silver Dollar
Silver Dollar looks exactly as it sounds, like silver dollars you'd find on the beach. Same shape, big and round. Now the next eucalyptus is Seeded. The main difference between the two is the shape and the fact that Silver Dollar does not have the seeded.
4. Seeded
We use seeded all the time. We love it!!! Makes bouquets rustic, undone, and natural. Also draws out a fun texture from the seeds.
5. Spiral
Spiral always reminds me of my grandmother. She dries them and hang them on her wall. This eucalyptus sticks straight up. We love it more for centerpieces.

Bridal Expos: Wedding Dresses
I always say I have the coolest job. I work closely with Brides Club and help put on the fashion shows for the expos. We had the coolest opportunity to be on King 5!!!! Of course I wasn't on TV, but I played a part in it. Check out the video clip here, and read the article below.
The most important purchase a bride makes before her wedding is without a doubt, her wedding gown.
The national average is about $2,500 for a wedding dress - but if you know where to look, you can say "yes" to a fabulous dress for less than a grand.
Brad Buckles from Bridesclub.com and Anna Lorenz from Gown and Glove Bridal in Bellingham shared five designer and custom-made dresses available for less than $1,000. Visit them both at the Bridesclub.com Wedding Expos coming up in January.
Bridesclub.com Wedding Expo dates:
Jan 9-10, Tacoma
Jan 23-24, Everett

Hawaiian Style Shoot
Months ago I had the pleasure of doing a style shoot that was Hawaiian theme. Hawaii is one of my favorite vacation spots (I even got to do a wedding in Hawaii last Summer!!!). I jumped at the opportunity to collaborate and come up with the floral arrangements. Autumn Rudolf was the amazing photographer. She specializes in boudoir and destination weddings. Find her website here. Check out the pictures!
